Business Credit Reporting Agencies
Business credit reporting is one of the most comprehensive sources of credit information. This report includes a description of the business, extensive trade payment information and payment trends, public record information, commercial banking relationships, federal government information, and Standard and Poor's information where available. The reports on our site are available online. Our complete business credit reports, that include valuable credit score, trade payment and public filing information such as liens or judgments against the business, are also offered online.
Credit reporting agencies play an important part in the information gathering process of any Credit Department. Because of their efforts, accurate and timely credit decisions can now be made within minutes instead of hours or days.
There are several business credit reporting agencies in the United States that lenders and financial institutions rely on for information to grant credit. Many businesses can take years before they are listed with the business credit agencies, some may never be listed. One of our clients had been in business 26 years and not one business credit bureau had his company listed. Some of these are FDInsight, D&B, Experian Business, BusinessCreditUSA, Equifax Business, and ClientChecker.
FDInsight is relatively new to the business credit market. Originally it made its mark as a personal credit-reporting agency for mortgage brokers. It is the second largest credit reporting company in the mortgage broker field. The business or a third party provides information on businesses and then the staff of FDInsight verifies every piece of information. They arguably provide the most accurate business credit report in the industry. The company is listed on NASDAQ as FDCC.
